Intertec Consulting specializes in placing Information Technology professionals with Fortune 500 companies throughout the U.S. and Costa Rica. Currently, we are putting together a team of Systems Administrators/Transition Engineers for a client to work remotely from their home office locally to Lexington KY. Must be within 30-45 Minutes from Lexington in case a need arises to go to the data center while on call.
These positions are 1 year contract opportunities - either W2 OR 1099 (corp to corp).
The successful candidate will be Administering Windows/Intel Servers for the WEB. Must have Web experience!
- Windows 2000/2003 Server Systems Administration
- Strong with troubleshooting - websites, connectivity, OS, etc.
- STRONG IIS 5 and 6
- Some .NET and COM+ experience - important for deployments (don't need to be coders)
- Strong OS skills
- 3 tier system experience
- Applications experience/troubleshooting
- URL errors
- Commands in DOS (don't have to use the GUI for everything)
- MS SQL Server 2000 Clustering
- Verisign Global Certificates
- Networking communications/design
- VB Scripting
- Websphere Deployment experience is a plus! As is AIX experience.
In essence, these positions are as a Web Hosting Systems Administrator/Transition Engineer. You will be part of a team responsible for migrating projects from development through production within the web complex. You will be responsible for installation and testing of applications into QA and production environments utilizing IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ Series, DCE/DFS, AIX, Sun Solaris, Windows 2000/2003, shell scripting, DB2 in a very large scale environment (Over 2500 servers between development, quality assurance and production).
