Description:
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager in the
Milwaukee area.
Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the
success of the project by creating/managing project
plans, managing the staff assign to their project, and
accurately reporting on the status of the project to
clients and direct management. In addition to their
Project Management responsibilities, this person will
also be expected to perform additional business analyst
duties such as creating functional requirements
documents or test plans.
* Responsibilities Manage teams of
Consultants/Engineers/Technicians
* Coordinates network activities with various groups
within the company and client to ensure required
features are included in the appropriate implementations
to support multi-vendor installations
* Managers all project resources to perform tasks
according to plan and sets expectations concerning
project deliverables.
* Determines or Contributes Estimates for time frames,
quality and quantity of resources required to
successfully implement project.
* Develops single or multiple project plans
incorporating the project variables.
* Conducts periodic status checks with customers and
team to assess progress against the plan. Performs
re-forecasts of project variables as necessary
throughout project.
* Prepares weekly status reports on all project
activities and management issues.
* Gather, analyze, and create business requirements and
other project related documentation
* Communicate progress and issues to superiors and
clients.
* Maintain customer relationship to identify and secure
additional business by leveraging existing project.
* Learn new technologies to remain abreast of
technological changes and improvements.
* When necessary, develop and execute test plans.
* Provides high-level analysis and guidance to other
members and groups within the company in order to
permeate learned knowledge among other project managers,
technicians and consultants.
* Manages third party vendors and/or the integration of
third party vendors' product offerings with company's
services
* Serve as a full-time billable consultant while
providing pre-sales support when required.
Requirements:
Level of Supervision Project Manager works with minimal
supervision. He or she should be a self-starter who must
be capable of maintaining team productivity, as well as
their own, throughout the course of a project. They
heavily rely on their experience and their judgment to
accomplish their goals.
* Required Skills and Experience At least 5 years
experience in managing large client server,
deployment/network infrastructure projects (or similar
experience).
* Must also have experience will large scale managed
environment design and system deployment. This includes
system deployment exploiting imaged deployment and
scripted installations.
* Understanding with network protocols, routing and
switching
* Ability to perform network reviews including all
systems that comprise an enterprise infrastructure
* Excellent written/verbal communication and
presentation skills, particularly with Senior Management
and clients.
* Ability to effectively manage clients and
subordinates, verbally and in writing.
* Proficient in Office Productivity Software Tools with
working knowledge of common Microsoft Technologies.
* Bachelor's degree,in business, marketing, sales or
science
* PMI, Six Sigma, certifications are highly desirable.
* Work Environment and Physical Demand
* Work from home /virtual office
* Some stress may occur at times and off-hours work may
be needed to address client or business needs.
* No special physical demand.
* Travel depends on the specific project. Regular travel
to clients sites (local travel via car) may be required
at times. Some projects may require long-distance travel
