Perform Daily and Turnaround Inspections, Hourly, Calendar and Phase Inspections on aircraft and engines. Remove, reinstall or replace defective components, accessories and parts such as AFCS computers, electrical junction boxes, converters, instruments, radio and navigational components. Perform repairs to wiring harness and associated cannon plugs. Must have good troubleshooting abilities. Perform task to include Refueling/Defueling, Towing and Jacking. Obtain parts by referring to parts manual.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of five years as a MH-53E electrician. Military experience desired on MH-53E aircraft. May be required to be licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration. Must possess valid drivers license. Must consent to drug testing and, if required, be approved for a security clearance. May be required to work away from home base 2-3 times a year for short durations. Must have been certified as a MH-53E Plane Captain and Collateral Duty Inspector. Must provide own Personal Protective Equipment.
Work Environment/Conditions
Must have full range of body movement for running, bending, reaching, walking, climbing and crawling. Must be able to climb ladders and work stands unassisted. Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Must be able to withstand environmental outside conditions of heat and cold. Must have normal depth perception and 20/20 corrected vision.
Per diem will be paid at current JTR rates for 30 days when authorized.
